How It Works

WEDDING INDUSTRY AWARDS

Learn about the Voting Process and Category nominations

The Wedding Industry Awards™ are conducted yearly in over Thirty (30) Wedding Regions of Australia.

Wedding Industry Awards™ are Australia’s LARGEST provider of Regional Wedding Business Awards since 2008, offering the Wedding Industry of Australia the MOST Comprehensive & Transparent Wedding Industry Awards™

Voting Protocol

Wedding Industry Awards™ operate seamlessly in the Background and a lot of Regional Wedding Business are unaware that Voting is underway, let alone when they are announced as a Finalists. The Key Focus with Wedding Industry Awards™ is that we DO NOT require Businesses to contact Newlyweds to Vote or more importantly ask Newlyweds for reviews as part of the Voting Process.

Wedding Industry Awards™ conducts its voting process on five (5) Principal Strategies:

  1. Wedding Industry Awards™ pays $$$ to Social Media Platforms to make contact Newlyweds who were married over the past 12-18 months seeking their support by Voting for their TOP5 Wedding Suppliers to their wedding who excelled and exceeded their expectations.
  2. Wedding Industry Awards™ supply promotional content via email to Businesses that we have on our Database to enable them to place a Post on their Social Media Platforms to seek support from their Newlyweds in Voting for their business.
  3. Wedding Industry Awards™ undertakes Tagging on Facebook of all the potential Businesses that are on its Database, this in itself creates interest and momentum in the Voting Process. This promotes the Business to its Local / Regional Wedding Industry.
  4. Every Wedding Industry Awards™ Region (over 30, see below) has a Post on the Regional FaceBook Page announcing the Voting is underway and a HyperLink to the Voting Platform. This is also duplicated on the Wedding Industry Awards™, Principal Facebook Page http://www.facebook.co/WeddingIndustryAwardsAustralia. So, two (2). Facebook Posts undertaken for each region by Wedding Industry Awards™.
  5. Businesses that self-promote by soliciting support from their Newlyweds on Social Media will indirectly encourage their Newlyweds to vote for other Wedding Suppliers that serviced their Wedding Day. Five (5) Businesses need to be nominated so there is opportunity for four (4) other businesses to be bought into the Voting Fold.

Voting

When do Nominations Open?
Newlywed Couples who have been married over the past Twelve (12)/Eighteen (18) Months are eligible to vote are targeted through FaceBook Marketing seeking their support to vote for the TOP5 Wedding Suppliers.
Regional Wedding Businesses will be advised by email if we are aware of a business for the pending Wedding Industry Awards for their region one (1) week before voting is launched. Businesses should Post on their Social Media Pages the content supplied by Wedding Industry Awards for their Newlywed Couples to vote for them in the Wedding Industry Awards. Also, businesses will be Tagged from the region on FaceBook. This is especially important in regions where majority of wedding couples come from outside the region, in other words Destination Weddings.

When do Nominations Close?
The Wedding Industry Awards will announce when Nominations close for a specific region. Nominations will be accepted up until the Nominations closing date. The Voting period is two (2) weeks ONLY to reduce the opportunity for Vote Stacking.

Who can Vote?
Only Newlywed Couples that have been married during the voting period (normally the past twelve (12)/eighteen (18) months)
They need to identify:

  • The Partners Names
  • Date of the Wedding
  • Email Address
  • Wedding Reception Venue
  • TOP5 Wedding Suppliers
  • The Wedding Venue Coordinator

Is there Validation of Nominations / Votes?

Only where there is an exception / extraordinary tally of Votes for a business that is outside the MEAN NUMBER of votes for a business in that Category.

With Wedding Industry Awards covering over thirty (30) Wedding Regions of Australia we know what is the expected number of Votes that should be received in any given Business in a Wedding Category.

If it is perceived to be an overstated number of votes (Where a Business has been Nominated in all Five (5) Choices) the Business will have its Votes reduced to one (1) ONLY for that Voting Nomination. Not the 15 Votes expected. Businesses found to be flaunting Wedding Industry Awards will be disqualified from.

The Wedding Industry Awards – Voting Platform Identifies:

Fraudulent Email Addresses + the Time of Vote Submission + the actual Computer ID where the Votes came from. We are vigilant with Vote Stacking.

Process

What is the Judging Process?
Newlywed Couples vote for their TOP5 Wedding Suppliers that they believed went beyond the call of duty, professionalism, value for money, excellent customer service including and exceeded their expectations in the delivery of their services to the Couples Wedding Day.

Newlywed Couples are restricted to voting once and were locked out once their vote was cast.

Points were allocated to their voting rank as follows:

TOP5 Point allocation are descending in order:

  • First Choice: – 5 Points
  • Second Choice:  – 4 Points
  • Third Choice: – 3 Points
  • Fourth Choice: – 2 Points
  • Fifth Choice: – 1 Point
